Personal Run Training - May 2

I was wanting to take it somewhat easy given that I have the group bike & run training tomorrow morning. Kerem was game to go running on the elliptical instead of outside (easier on the knees).

We ended up walking around the place to check out the crowd, as well as check some class schedules before we jumped on the ellipticals. I started out with a resistance level 10 and kept a pace of about 10 min/mile. I was sweating pretty hard, but I tried to keep my heart rate elevated as this would help build my endurance. My target goal for today session was 4.5 miles on the elliptical which I achieved in 45 mins (give or take 10 secs). I was in a total pool of sweat and feeling fairly fatigued. I should keep in mind to keep a water bottle handy to hydrate myself some every 1.5 miles. What did help however was the sports beans I took before I started the run, so I know they are effective in keeping energy levels consistent.

Anyways, the training was not exciting as some of the others, but its a training session for the triathlon nonetheless! :)
