Personal Swim Training - May 25th

I had been taking it easy on the leg as well as trying to recover from the allergies/cold issues for most of last week, which is why there has been a gap in my blogging :(

Anyways, I decided to shake some rust of those muscles by going for a mile swim and see how it feels. I started out with 200 yd (4 lap) warm-up, and it kinda felt good to get in the water. I planned on completing the mile, but not at a fast pace, but rather a more regular one. The primary reason for this was to do form correction, to keep me more streamlined during the entire length of time, than focus on making good time.

I did not time myself, but I probably did a little bit slower than how I usually do, by maybe 5 extra mins. I did however keep a consistent form for most of the 66 lengths, and as a matter of fact I sped up on the the last 10 lengths or so.

Overall it felt good, and I did not feel too exhausted by it, and that by itself was a moral booster to see that even though I had taken almost a week off, the body was still responding well to the demands! :)
