Personal Running Training - Mar 5

My legs have been constantly sore all this week, considering I have not given them any rest till yet. There is a struggle going on between my mind and my body on who lets up first....so far the mind is winning, but the soreness is a constant reminder that wont last long.

I was motivated enough to get my butt to the gym (YMCA-Ren Cen) after work and get in at least 3 miles of running. I did a variation of it this time, as I increased the incline to 1 deg (based on some professional advice) and still maintained 6 mph. When I reached 3 miles, I realized I could probably push on for another mile, but I want to push my body at this point, not break it! :)

So far the soreness is there, but not totally fatigued, so I am guessing my body can deal with it. I think when I take the day off on Friday for exercise, I should be in good condition for next week.

I got some good advice & tips on the actual race, regarding gel packs and hydration drinks from my colleague at work who has been through a century ride before, Thanks!!! :)

Tune in tomorrow to see if I get my running in before my fund raiser....I know just the guilt of putting it here will make me go to the gym! ;)
